France: Inventions and Discoveries

Talking French... is talking in the language of math and science. When you go to high school, you hear about a lot of French mathematicians. Here are little examples of what the French have invented: If you want to know more about each invention and how they were improved by other creative people, get off Grandpa Mc Cloud, and reach out for the mouse, and French Inventions and check them out.

Automobile (so that horses may rest after 2000 year of running)

. Cinema (so we can watch movies)

· Mayonnaise(so we can have a nice potato salad and good deli sandwiches)

· Ambulance (so we can get the sick people to emergency hospital before it’s too late)

· Braille
(for blind people to read books)

· Battery ( so we can use in flashlight to put under our chin and tell horror stories at nights)

. Aqualung (so you can go as deep as you want in the sea)

Meter
(so that we don’t measure things with hands and feet—because hand and feet don’t make any sense to kids with small hands and feet)

French Inventions

What’s the game in the palace of Mary Antoinette, the last queen of France?

What is this?

A Racquet?

For what kind of a game?

Yep. You guessed it my child: Tennis.

The French have actually invented tennis. You are saying why they haven’t won any of the major tennis tournaments? Be patient. They have been practicing tennis for over 800 years, and one of these days, they will win.
